Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will lead protest
RAWALPINDI – The Punjab government on Friday imposed Section 144 owing to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's expected protest in Rawalpindi.
The Home Department issued a notification to this effect. The department also forwarded a letter to the federal government to deploy Rangers. Sources reported that locks have been placed on the gates of the park, and a substantial number of police deployed both inside and outside the premises. People who had come to the park for a walk were reportedly asked to leave as part of security measures.On the other hand, the PTI finalised its strategy for tomorrow‘s protest at Liaqat Bagh, Rawalpindi. According to party sources, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will lead the protest.
