According to reports, Greece received over 627,000 visa applications, accounting for more than 6% of all Schengen visa requests this year.Greece’s rising popularity as a travel destination attracted applicants from various parts of the world. Turkish citizens accounted for the largest portion of applicants, submitting over 254,000 applications, which represented 40.5% of the total.
While demand for Greek visas soared, the rejection rates varied significantly depending on the applicant’s nationality. Countries in Africa and Asia, in particular, experienced the highest visa refusal rates.– Out of 560 visa applications, 65.54% were denied, making Pakistan the country with the highest visa rejection rate.– Algerian applicants faced a 59.54% rejection rate, with 1,230 out of 2,066 applications turned down.
