Pakistan’s test team to assemble in Dubai before departure for SA seriesJOHANNESBURG: The Pakistan cricket team has arrived in Centurion from Durban to prepare for the second T20 international match against South Africa, set to take place tomorrow.In the first T20I, South Africa triumphed by 11 runs at Kingsmead, Durban, thanks to exceptional performances from George Linde and David Miller.
Miller’s explosive 82 off 40 balls and Linde’s all-round brilliance guided the Proteas to a thrilling victory. Pakistan’s bowlers, Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed , kept South Africa to 183/9, but Pakistan’s chase faltered. Mohammad Rizwan’s 74 off 62 balls was not enough as the middle-order struggled, leaving too much for the final overs. Debutant Kwena Maphaka dismissed Rizwan in the last over to seal the win for South Africa.Despite the loss, Shaheen Afridi made history by becoming the third Pakistani bowler to take 100 wickets in T20 Internationals.
Pakistan will be aiming to improve their performance in the upcoming match and level the three-match series against the Proteas.Sports
