Confirmed cases in the country climbed to 234,509 on Tuesday after Pakistan reported 2,691 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours (Monday), the latest data
The government's database on Covid-19 shows that 3,308 more people recovered from the coronavirus during the last 24 hours. This has taken the total number of recovered people to 134,957. According to the portal, the number of critical patients stands at 2,306.
Punjab has recorded 706 new coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours, according to the government's Covid-19 portal, taking the provincial tally to 82,669. The province also recorded 15 additional fatalities, taking the death toll to 1,889. With 1932 new recoveries, 47,054 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 120 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 28,236. The province also reported 10 new deaths, taking the death toll to 1,038. With 121 new recoveries, 16,549 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far. Islamabad has recorded 63 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 13,557. The capital also reported three new deaths, taking the death toll to 140. With 247 new recoveries, 9403 patients have recovered from the virus in the federal capital so far.
