During a meeting on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the strong fraternal ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh with Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of Bangladesh’s Interim Government. He highlighted their shared faith, history, and culture as a foundation for strengthening bilateral relations.
He also emphasized that both sides needed to work together to further strengthen the bilateral relations. Capitalizing on the immense goodwill and warmth among the people of two countries, he encouraged fostering relations through parliamentary exchanges, people-to-people contacts, and interactions among sportspersons, academics, artists, students, etc.
The prime minister also extended an invitation to Professor Muhammad Yunus for an official visit to Pakistan, underscoring the significance of regional cooperation and dialogue.
