The federal government has set up a joint task force to identify people involved in a malicious propaganda against the state and the armed forces of Pakistan.
A decision in this regard was taken on Sunday evening. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority chairman will head the 10 member joint task force. ISI and MI representatives, IB joint director, joint secretary for interior, joint secretary for information ministry, FIA cyber wing director and IT Ministry’s IT director will be part of the task force.
According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s House, a fresh wave of anti-Pakistan and anti-armed forces propaganda has been unleashed after recent incidents of terrorism in the country. "Some miscreants are doing a misleading propaganda against the armed forces of Pakistan. This propaganda is meant to spread anarchy in the country and achieve their vested political interests. The task force will identify the people involved in propaganda against the state and submit its proposals to the government within 10 days," says the press release.
