A rickshaw driver fled with bridal dowry items worth over Rs100,000 in Karachi’s North Nazimabad No. 4 area, leaving a family devastated just weeks before their daughter's wedding, reported24NewsHD TV channel.
After completing their shopping, they hired a rickshaw to transport the goods to their home in Orangi Town. The items were carefully loaded into the vehicle, with some tied securely to the roof with ropes. The family immediately reported the incident to the Nazimabad police station, but they were only issued a handwritten complaint rather than a formal First Information Report . The evidence suggests that the rickshaw driver may have been strategically present at the market, possibly as part of a planned operation targeting unsuspecting shoppers.
