The non-bailable arrest warrant issued for social media influencer Sahil Adeem, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
As per details, a case was filed against a famous Pakistani public speaker, Sahil Adeem, in City Court police station Karachi but he has not appeared on the assigned date.The case was registered by PPP lawmaker Marvi Faseeh on Sahil Adeem for passing derogatory remarks against woman on Samaa TV show ‘Mukalma’, hosted by controversial screenwriter Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and Ayesha Jehanzeb.Khalil-Ur-Rehman doubled down on this argument when challenged by a woman Azba Abdullah in the audience.
Faseeh submitted the resolution under Sub-Rule of Rule 124 of Rules of Procedure of Provincial Assembly of Sindh, 2013. In her resolution she condemned the remarks made by the “so-called motivational speaker”. “Sahil Adeem’s comments are a severe affront to our religious, social and legal values, which have caused great offence to women at large,” read the document, calling for legal action to be taken against him.
The resolution is expected to be on the agenda of the next Sindh Assembly session, where Faseeh will likely table it.
