Federal Minister for Water and Power Awais Laghari informed the senate that the federal government will release funds for solar Tubewells on war footings as soon as Balochistan government shares a comprehensive mechanism agreed upon during a recent meeting.

The Minister was responding to a point of order raised by Senator Danish Kumar about the problems faced by the farmers in Balochistan.

The Minister said, over 12000 illegal Tranformers are operating in total 404 feeders in Balochistan. He stated that the power users in Balochistan have not paid outstanding dues worth 641 billion rupees to Wapda therefore these feeders are facing load-shedding. To another point of order, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Nazeer Tarar said, CDA removed illegal encroachments by the central office of a political party in Islamabad.
