ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday felicitated newly elected President of Supreme Court Bar Association Mian Rauf Atta and Ahsan Bhoon, a leader of Independent Group on winning the election.
He also expressed the confidence that the newly elected office bearers, including the president, would continue their mission of welfare of the lawyers’ community.Constitutional Amendment, Constitution and the supremacy of parliament, he added. Meanwhile, Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture Attaullah Tarar felicitated Asma Jahangir Group’s candidate Mian Rauf Atta on getting elected as the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
The best person has been elected as the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, the minister remarked. Lawyers are the defender of democracy, human rights and the constitution, he said, adding the fraternity had a crucial law in upholding the rule of law, supremacy of the constitution and democratic norms.
