Says Babar Azam got enough chances unlike previous captains
– Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi took a dig at T20 captain Babar Azam, saying he got enough chances to prove himself unlike his predecessors.
His remarks come in the backdrop of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s decision to remove Wahab Riaz and Abul Razzaq from the selection committee following the T20 World Cup 2024 debacle. The ouster of the two key members of the selection committee is being taken as the part of the “surgery” promised by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi after Team Green’s disappointing performance in the mega cricket event.
Speaking to reporters, Afridi said the captain was usually the first person to be dismissed in such a situation. He said no captain was given such ample opportunities like Babar had gotten as he has played several international tournaments including world and Asia cups. When reporters sought his comments on the removal of Riaz and Razzaq, he said: "I am unable to understand this kind of surgery".Pakistan, Azerbaijan agree to expand investment volume up to $2bnFlour Mills Association Announces Nationwide Strike Against Withholding TaxAzerbaijan president Arrives in PakistanBig Change In Electricity Price How Annoying is increase in electricity bills?
