Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi agreed to enhance federal-provincial cooperation on security, anti-drug efforts and public services ISLAMABAD - Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting and agreed to further strengthen cooperation between the federal and provincial governments to address key national challenges and improve public services.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed a range of issues, including law and order, inter-provincial coordination, anti-drug efforts and measures aimed at enhancing public service delivery. The discussion focused in particular on the security situation in Karachi and other major cities of Sindh, as well as ongoing efforts to curb the spread of narcotics and related criminal activities.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the Sindh government on the successful operations carried out against dacoits and criminal elements in the province's riverine areas, acknowledging the efforts made to improve security and maintain public order. Speaking on the occasion, Sharjeel Inam Memon said effective coordination and cooperation between the federation and provinces remain the most effective means of addressing national challenges.

He emphasized that all governments and institutions should work together on matters of national importance and reaffirmed the Sindh government's commitment to intensifying efforts aimed at combating crime, maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety. Mohsin Naqvi stated that the federal government would continue to provide full support for initiatives focused on improving security and preventing drug-related crimes.

The interior minister also praised the performance of Sindh Police, saying the force had demonstrated courage, professionalism and determination in challenging circumstances while playing a commendable role in restoring and maintaining law and order. Both leaders agreed that stronger coordination between the federal and Sindh governments would help resolve public issues more effectively and contribute to improved governance and service delivery across the province.
