07 October,2023NEW DELHI - South Africa and Sri Lanka keen to make a fast start at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, and qualify for the knockout stages of the event.

Both South Africa and Sri Lanka will be keen on making a good impression at the start of their Cricket World Cup campaign in Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi today . South Africa showed some decent signs of form with a narrow loss to New Zealand in a high scoring contest during their warm-up matches for the World Cup. On the other hand, Sri Lanka's batters appeared in good touch in their defeat against Afghanistan.

The absence of spinner Wanindu Hasaranga is sure to be felt by Sri Lanka and they will be hoping the likes of youngsters Dunith Wellalage and Matheesha Pathirana can step up during the tournament.
