The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of a Suo Motu notice regarding the matter raised by six judges of Islamabad High Court (IHC) in a letter to the Chief Justice Of Pakistan (CJP). A seven-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faez Isa heard the case today.
Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of a Suo Motu notice regarding the matter raised by six judges of Islamabad High Court in a letter to the Chief Justice Of Pakistan .
Other judges of the bench include, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Mussarat Hilali, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan. A meeting with the IHC judges was held on 26 march, same day, the letter was received and later a meeting was held with law minister and attorney general as well as the prime minister and it was made clear in these meetings that there will be zero tolerance for interference in judicial matter and there will be no compromise on independence of judiciary.
