A constitutional bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan has withdrawn the decisions of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah dated January 13 and 16 regarding a customs regulator duty case. The bench, headed by Justice Amin Uddin, expressed concerns over inconsistencies in the scheduling of the case and questioned the authority of a separated judge to dictate the bench for a specific case. The court also ordered the Nazar Abbas contempt of court case to be linked to the customs duty case.

ISLAMABAD: Constitutional bench of the Supreme Court withdrew the decision of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah January 13 and 16.

Justice Jamal Mandokhel said, if a judge was separated from a 3 -member bench, could he order the judge that the case was filed in front of a specific bench?Justice Naeem Afghan told lawyer Barrister Salah Uddin, “We think you are responsible for all the dispute”.
