Govt says 102 people arrested for involvement in attacks on military installations on May 9, 10
The federal government has told the Supreme Court that the trial of civilians allegedly involved in the May 9 incidents has started in military courts.
The sources further said that according to the government’s response, conclusions should be drawn from the trials so that the suspects not involved can be acquitted. A total of 102 people were detained for their alleged involvement in the attacks on military installations on May 9 and 10, the government says.
A five-member larger bench headed by Justice Ijazul Ahsan will hear the petitions against the trial of civilians in military courts, tomorrow.
