Transport owners end strike after successful negotiation with Punjab govt
LAHORE – Transport owners announced to end strike after successful negotiation with Punjab government after a day strike against hefty fines being imposed by the authorities on the motorway and highways across the country on Thursday.Minister for Communication Murad Saeed said that the purpose of hefty fines is not for revenue, whereas, it is effort to decrease the number of accidents. He said that the raise of fines has been stopped for temporarily.
Earlier in the day, transport owners observed a strike against hefty fines being imposed by the authorities on the motorway and highways across the country.
