10 pitches arrived in New York for T20 World Cup 2024.With less than a month to go, drop-in pitches made their way to New York’s newly made stadium Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, that will host it’s opening match between Sri Lanka and South Africa on June 3.
The work on the installation of the pitches, prepared in Florida by Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions, is already underway. 20 big trucks were used to move the pitches from Florida to New York. Hough mentioned that the delivery went smoothly without any major issues. He also said that everything is ready for the eight games that will take place in a stadium with 34,000 seats located in Eisenhower Park in Nassau County, which is to the east of Manhattan.“Everything is going to plan, they are in real good condition and all of our benchmarks and measures that we take along the way are exceeding expectations.
A total of 20 teams will be playing for the glory next month and nine out of them will play in New York.
