Tarar claims to have 'irrefutable evidence' of PTI's involvement in May 9 attack
ISLAMABAD – Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said there were irrefutable evidences that a party hatched a coordinated conspiracy for attacks on military installation on May 9, 2023.
During a press conference, the minister also released CCTV footage of the attacks, stating that PTI leaders had been given directives to stage the May 9 incident. He claimed that they wanted to create a narrative that would provoke people to attack military installations. He further questioned, "If they say they didn't carry out the attacks, then who did?"The minister emphasised that the CCTV footage could not be altered or erased. He said that on May 9, an attempt was made to harm the national security and integrity of Pakistan, and all the evidence of this is now available in these videos.
He urged that the cases related to the May 9 events should be decided immediately so those who involved in promoting the enemy’s agenda could be brought to justice.Tarar reiterated that it had been repeatedly asked to release CCTV footage, and now that it has been provided. He said it is now clear that these individuals are enemies of the country and want to harm Pakistan.
The information minister said in light of this evidence, all those involved in sowing discord should apologise to the national and face the consequences.
