The rumors appear to have originated from a recent hunting accident Robertson experienced, which kept him from appearing on a recent taping of his 'Duck Call Room' podcast.
Robertson had suffered an injury after falling while exiting a boat after a hunting trip, leading to hospitalization. The situation was misinterpreted, and the wrong claim of his death followed. However, followers of the 'Back the Badge Wisconsin' page quickly debunked the misinformation, clarifying that Robertson was alive and recovering.
