UHS prohibits medical colleges from imposing fines on students
Good news for medical students as the University of Health Sciences has barred medical colleges from imposing fines on students without prior approval from the university, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
During the 37th meeting of the UHS Academic Council, presided over by Vice-Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore, several resolutions were passed to ensure a fair and supportive educational environment. Heads of affiliated medical colleges and other institutions participated in the meeting where significant policy changes were aimed at regulating the operations of medical colleges across the province.Medical colleges can no longer impose fines on students without UHS authorization. All medical colleges either government or private, will be bound to follow the UHS policy.Students will be allowed 18 holidays per year.
