London: The Greater Manchester Police have suspended the cop involved in brutally assaulting a Pakistan man at the Manchester Airport.
The statement added that the referral has now been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct for a full independent investigation. The video shows the police officer holding a taser over the man — who is lying face down, before striking him twice — while other police officers direct the onlookers to stay back.
In a statement, Assistant Chief Constable Wasim Chaudhry said: “We know that a film of an incident at Manchester Airport that is circulating widely shows an event that is truly shocking, and that people are rightly extremely concerned about.”
