The memo also stated that the U.S. military is ready to carry out the policy choices of the incoming Commander-in-Chief. The military is prepared to comply with all legal orders from the civilian chain of command. He reaffirmed that the military will continue to defend the country, the Constitution, and the rights of its citizens.Earlier, President-elect Donald J. Trump announced Thursday that Susie Wiles, a veteran Florida strategist who has managed his political operation for nearly four years, will be his White House chief of staff in the incoming administration.
