West Indies cruised to a dominant seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh, claiming their first bilateral ODI series win against the
visitors in 10 years.
Opting to bowl first in St. Kitts, the West Indies’ decision proved to be a masterstroke as Seales struck early. In his opening spell, Seales sent Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, and captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz back to the pavilion cheaply during the powerplay. A brief recovery came from Mahmudullah and Afif Hossain, who added 36 runs, but West Indies spinners, led by Gudakesh Motie, continued to dominate.Motie claimed two crucial wickets, leaving Bangladesh at 104/6 in the 21st over. Mahmudullah and Tanzim Hasan Sakib then fought back with a gritty 92-run partnership for the eighth wicket, taking Bangladesh past 200.
In reply, West Indies made a strong start with Brandon King and Evin Lewis putting on 109 for the first wicket. King played aggressively, while Lewis struggled initially but found his rhythm with some boundaries.
