According to their analysis, most parts of Pakistan are experiencing continental air and high-pressure conditions in the upper atmosphere, contributing to the prolonged heatwave. Temperatures are expected to remain significantly above normal levels, with upper districts experiencing 6 to 8 degrees Celsius higher than usual and other parts of the province seeing 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal.
Coastal areas like Karachi will also experience hot and humid weather, with maximum temperatures ranging from 37-40°C on Thursday and Friday. In the past 24 hours, Sindh has experienced very hot and dry weather, with Mohenjo-Daro, Jacobabad, and Dadu recording maximum temperatures of 49°C. Karachi saw a maximum temperature of 37°C, with a relative humidity of 60 percent in the evening, while Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 46°C with a relative humidity of 47 percent.
