Punjab University students house arrest involves 24 individuals detained amid rising tensions and protests on campus.
The police have placed 24 members of Punjab University student organizations under house arrest for their involvement in a violent clash a few days ago, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.Active officials and workers of Jamiat, Baloch and Pakhtun student organizations were among those detained.
In the report, the committee recommended immediate removal of senior security officer of Punjab University. The senior security officer directed guards to intervene in the protest of the students. Security guards tried to take law into their own hands after getting instructions from senior security officer.
