The Supreme Court has suspended the Islamabad High Court orders dated 29th may and 25th June while issuing stay againt the proceedings in the matter regarding audio leak of Bushra Bibi and Najmus Saqib, son of Former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar.
A two member bench comprising Justice Aminuddin and Justice Naem Akhter Afghan issued notice to the Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder and Najmus Saqib.
Justice Naem Akhter Awan decried the obstacles being created in the way of finding truth and noted that the commission constituted to find the truth behind audio leaks was stayed by the apex court.Additional attorney General Amir Rehman said whenever access is sought to the phones, a stay order prevents them.
He said unauthorised tapping is already unlawful but Islamabad High Court's order are hampering even lawful counter terrorism measures.
