QUETTA: The Minerals Department of Balochistan has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the death of 12 miners due to a gas explosion in a coal mine in District Harnai.
12 miners were killed in the Harnai coal mine accident while 8 miners were rescued alive, the coal mine was sealed after the incident. Secretary Minerals has formed a 5-member investigation committee to probe the Harnai coal mine accident, which will complete the investigation and submit a report within three days.
Additional Secretary Minerals Dr. Atiq Shahwani will head the committee while other members will include DG Minerals Abdullah Shahwani, PMDC Coalmine In-charge Engineer Asfandyar, Mines Labor Commissioner Khalil Ahmed, and Mines Inspector Muhammad Atif.
