ISLAMABAD: Elon Musk ki company Starlink ne Pakistan mein satellite -based high speed Internet services launch karnay ki ummiad batayi. State Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja ne is khairat ki khabar Senate Standing Committee meeting par itaam ki, jis mein Senator Palwasha Khan ne chair ki thi.
Khawaja ne Pakistan ki digital infrastructure ko modern tareeq mein bani karne ki gharz khatir Starlink ki ummiad batayi, ishqat ki 5G spectrum auction k mutaliq ki gharz khatir April 2024 mein honay ki ummiad batayi. Khawaja ne yeh batayi ke Starlink ki services Pakistan mein achhe internet connectivity issues ko resolve karnay k liye zaroori hain, jo rural aur underserved areas mein ziyada hain. Yeh khabar frequent internet disruptions ki chahat mein aayi, jo Pakistan mein millions of users par impact karni rashk hai, freelance workers, tariqah-e-ta'lim, aur businesses ko. Industry stakeholders ne significant financial losses karaney ke bina disruptions ki kahani batayi, aur swa-gharz action ke bina digital ecosystem ko stabilize nahi kar paya gaya.
