Judicial Commission of Pakistan, which met the under the chair of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahaya Afridi, could not decide about the formation of Constitutional Bench in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Judicial Commission meeting was attended by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Aminuddin Khan. Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar and Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan also participated in the meeting. MNA Umar Ayub, Senator Shibli Faraz, Senator Farooq Naik, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed and Roshan Khurshid Brocha also attended the meeting.
After the meeting, Law Minister Nazir Tarar told media that for the formation of Constitutional Bench in Sindh, names of various judges were considered. The next meeting of Judicial Commission will be held on November 25. Till next meeting, all judges of Sindh High Court can hear constitutional cases, said Law Minister. He said Justice Jamal Mandokhel could not join the meeting due to his flight while member Akhtar Hussain's wife was ill therefore he also did not attend the meeting.
