The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is going to launch an inquiry against Federal Religious Minister Pir Noorul Haq Qadri on charges of abuse of powers
The sources said the bureau got a complaint stating the minister gave a state building on rent to his business partner. NAB scanned the complaint thoroughly and the executive board gave go-ahead for a formal probe over ‘conflict of interest’.
Earlier, NAB authorised filing reference against foreign ministry officials, investigations against Akram Khan Durrani and son of Rukhsana Bangash for inflicting huge losses to national exchequer by abusing their authority. The executive board meeting with Chairman Justice Javed Iqbal authorised filing a reference, conducting five inquiries, an investigation, a complaint verification and referring back the ongoing inquiry being conducted against the officials of FBR to NAB, Rawalpindi for further perusal.
