Under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s ‘Safe Punjab’ Vision, Punjab Police is intensifying its crackdown against terrorists and Katcha dacoits, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
Over 50 modern telecommunication devices, drones, bulletproof vehicles and thermal cameras to be purchased
The purchase of over 50 modern telecommunication devices is in its final phase, while CTD and Border Area Police are set to receive 25 new bulletproof vehicles to tackle the Fitna Khawarij and Kacha criminals. Punjab Police spokesperson confirmed that 26 thermal surveillance solutions and rifle scopes are being procured, along with 60 high-tech drones to enhance operational capabilities.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar vowed to eliminate criminals in Katcha areas, stating that Punjab Police officers stand as an unbreakable wall against terrorists at interprovincial check posts.He said Punjab’s brave police force is resisting terrorist attacks in Dera Ghazi Khan and Mianwali, and every soldier is ready to defeat terrorists, dacoits, and anti-state elements.
