He dominated Qawwali scene in 70s and 80s
LAHORE – Thirty years have passed since the death of Qawwali maestro Ghulam Farid Sabri. Qawwali enthusiasts are all set to observe his 30th death anniversary on Friday .
“Mera Koi Nahin Hai Tere Siwa”, “Bhardo Jholi Meri Ya Muhammad” and “Taajdar-e-Haram” are some of their most acclaimed Qawwalis. Along with his younger brother, Ghulam Farid Sabri, he dominated the Qawwali scene in the 70s and 80s.
