Says govt is responsible to provide clean and healthy environment to every citizen under Article 99
LAHORE - In an unusual case, a three-year-old girl has knocked on the Lahore High Court door to grill authorities for their alleged failure to control environmental pollution.
The petitioner says in the application that she has taken the step for the betterment of friends, class fellows and future generations as air pollution is affecting the youn and old alike. "The government is responsible for providing a clean and healthy environment to every citizen under Article 99 of the Constitution but the Punjab government has failed to protect the fundamental rights of citizens," pleads the three years old.
